Kathleen York House would like to thank its Board for their tireless work, input and commitment in overseeing and contribution to organizational operations and outcomes.

Gilbert Whitton (President and Clinical Sub-Committee)

Gilbert Whitton (MBBS; Mcomm)  is a Fellow of the Australasian Chapter of Addiction Medicine. Gilbert is the ADFNSW President of the Board and member of KYH Clinical Subcommittee. With experience as a Clinical Director of Drug and Alcohol Murrumbidgee and Southern NSW Local Health and  a Staff Specialist in Drug Health, Southern Western Sydney Local Health District his knowledge and expertise is invaluable to Kathleen York House.

Carolyn Day (Vice President and Director)

Carolyn Day

Carolyn Day BSc (Hons), PhD is an Associated Professor in Addiction Medicine at the University of Sydney. Carolyn is a public health researcher with expertise in drug and alcohol. She has more than 15 years experience working in the drug and alcohol field with a special interest in illicit drug use and infectious disease, mainly hepatitis C. Carolyn Day has been an ADF director since 2009 and has contributed substantially to our organization during this time.

Lorraine Plant (Treasurer)

Lorraine Plant is a CPA, and a retired member of the Australian Society of Accountants since 1980. Her involvement in accounting and general management  for various organisations, including 14 years as a business manager working with a Not for Profit is of great value to KYH. We look forward to Lorraine’s continued contribution as treasurer.

Patricia Paech (Secretary)

Patricia Paech

Patricia Paech is a Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute and a CPM (Certified Practising Marketer) and also holds an RSA Degree from Chiswick University UK. Her breadth of marketing and sales experience is weighty with more than 25 years in  the energy industry and 3 years as a State Sales Manager of AMP. Patricia has worked tirelessly in finding ways to promote and fund our organisation during her time as a Secretary of the ADFNSW Board.

Janet Dawson (Director)

Janet has worked in public policy for over 30 years, focusing on social and environmental issues including child protection, health and climate change. Janet has a degree in Sociology & Social Administration and  Masters in Commerce and Environmental Law. She recently graduated from the AICD company directors’ course. Since completing a role at the Child Abuse Royal Commission, Janet is exploring her long-standing interest in the NGO sector. She is passionate about social justice and supporting women, and hopes to contribute by bringing her skills in public policy and governance to the ADFNSW Board.

Graham Yates (Director)

 Graham Yates studied at Swinburne University  (Melbourne)  and qualified with a Graduate Diploma Management Systems. Graham  has had an extensive career in global IT specializing in the banking/financial sector. With roles such as Principle Architect Cloud and IT Consultant for Westpac. He has also worked as Chief Technology Officer for the Electronic Data Systems for major banks world wide. Graham has played a key part in the Rotary Club of Drummoyne where he served as past President (2005-2006). Kathleen York House is delighted to have Graham Yates as one of their Board Members.
