Appreciation for Only About Children-Glebe’s recent Fundraising efforts (March 2026)
Everyone at ADFNSW-Kathleen York House would like to thank the amazing team and Campus Director Ladan Mohebati-Arani of Only About Children in Glebe for their generous support and fundraising efforts for the clients and children of our service.
The clients were thrilled to receive the baby items and toiletries donated.

Mardi Gras Week 2026
This Mardi Gras week, the Kathleen York House community attended two inspiring exhibitions – at the National Art School and at Tiliqua Gallery in Enmore, featuring artist Jane Raynor.
The experience encouraged reflection on identity, courage and belonging – themes that are deeply connected to the recovery journey. Sharing art and culture together strengthens connection, builds confidence and celebrates the value of every individual’s story.
Diwali 2025
Diwali Celebrations earlier this week at KYH. Bringing light to the year ahead. And food…lots and lots of food. A massive thanks to our supremely generous CEO-Latha and her exceptional culinary skills



Whales About
ADFNSW-Kathleen York House has recently incorporated Nature Walks into their program to enhance overall wellbeing, peace of mind and social connection through group walks. The clients and staff were thrilled to see whales sending massive tail waves visible from the shores of Camp Cove.

Bill Crews Recovery Festival
ADFNSW-Kathleen York House was one of the stallholders at the Recovery Festival 2025 hosted by the The Rev Bill Crews Foundation in Ashfield. It was great to see so many sector related services involved at the festival. We were also honoured to take part in a First Nations smoke ceremony.


Escape from work to Team Build
KYH Staff had a great day Team Building-which always involves eating, as we were in Haymarket we stuck to the theme of Yum Cha and realised just how well we work together as a team when solving the Mission Escape Room challenges in George St. Lots of fun.

A heartfelt congratulations to our remarkable CEO- Dr Latha Nithyanandam who recently won the AOD Awards for her Outstanding contribution to the sector (from NADA). Latha is very active in the AOD sector and we’re thrilled to see that her efforts have been acknowledged.

NADA Conference 2025
Staff and management attended the Strength in community: Building a brighter, kinder future NADA Conference earlier in June. At the conference interventions designed to improve outcomes for clients were showcased, new ideas circulated all whilst ensuring networking opportunities amongst the sector.
Our CEO-Dr Latha Nithyanandam chaired one of the sessions- Power of Collaboration: Fostering a workforce that thrives.

Christmas lunch for Clients
No doubt you’ve realised that we like to show our care for one another with food. This December was no different. All staff enjoyed creating different dishes that they could share with the clients to celebrate the festive season.
